Testing out a Blog Editor on Mac

Been trying to find an easier and convenient way to type in my blog posts. I wanted something that I can keep as drafts and easily edit. Using the interface of blogger or wordpress just seemed unstable. But paying $40 for a program when I can just type for free is a decision I have to makeIMG 0067

Testing the image caption, which it doesn't seem to have...might be something I need to do without. (Just checked it out on my website...it is what you see is what you get.) You have to do something that makes you want to keep on writing your blog posts because this will be something you will be doing to keep track of your projects. The only thing is not the ability to resize the image.

IMG 0069 Well If I wanted a gallery or anything like that it wouldn't seem like it would happen? But I like that its much easier to transfer photos from my Imac to this program. Using the web interface wouldn't allow me to use the photos from Iphoto.

Idea for Furniture

I usually watch this TV show called "White Collar" on USA; basically its about this con artist that works for the FBI...its a new season that just started recently, and I remember from the previous season of this piece of furniture they had that had me pretty interested in building;

It would have some secret trigger; located underneath the table...the panel would lower...

...and the secret compartment would raise to hidden object.
Kept myslef busy...

Was really excited about creating my own app...went through the stages of design and what the app would look like. Got to a point where I thought would be a good spot to get more serious. Before I would begin that journey...I usually read up on a couple of books to get a feel of what to expect. Well I'm done reading...and there is much more than what I expected. It would be best if I knew anything about computer programming because that is a huge hurtle to overcome. Plus the fact that the app business is a new type of business structure that involves social media...where I only have used sparsely. This doesn't mean its not possible to create a app without total knowledge of programming but it would be a learning experience and hard work (like most things). So I'm going to hold off from any further advancements in creating an app and maybe focus what I'm really good/knowledgable at; that is architecture.

Another one of my side projects; is creating a screen printing machine. Below is one of the instruction pages from http://www.printingplans.com/ I got all the materials I need...just bought the wood last week and I'm ready to start planning my cuts pretty soon. Will keep you updated.

What Had Happen....

Do not know how it happened but when I least expected it...I found work in an Architectural (corporate) firm. Was a great experience, met a lot of great people...but it wasn't for me. Always wanted to go on my own and I'm not getting any younger.

Now its time to get more serious about what I want my company to be and how I will execute it. I truly believe technology has made it easier for a small business to survive. With all of these apps for my Iphone...Like Square, where I can swipe credit cards through my phone is just remarkable. Just a few years ago I had to setup merchant accounts and all those other peripherals that would cost additional money and it was something I didn't need.

So I'll keep track of my progress through my website of my ideas and how I'm going to setup up. I hope that other small business people will be able to chime in and we can help each other.
